MIC Darul Irshad Academy:

MIC Darul Irshad Academy: Integrating Tradition and Modernity MIC Darul Irshad Academy (MICDIA) is a premier center for value-based Islamic education located in Kasaragod. By synthesizing spiritual wisdom with contemporary academic disciplines, the Academy nurtures scholars capable of revitalizing the dynamic traditions of the Muslim community for the modern era. MICDIA is one of the 14 prestigious institutions operating under the Malabar Islamic Complex (MIC), which is managed by the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama Kasaragod District Committee.

Legacy and Foundations
Established in April 1999, the Academy was founded upon the vision of esteemed leaders:

  • Marhoom Shaikhuna U.M. Abdul Rahman Moulavi Mogral 
  • K.K. Abdulla Haji Qatar

Affiliated with Darul Huda Islamic University, MICDIA has evolved into a thriving hub for excellence in Islamic scholarship and civilizational studies.

Campus facilities
The Academy operates a dual-campus system designed to provide specialized environments for different levels of study:
  •  Secondary Campus (Udma, Kasaragod): Dedicated to foundational Islamic and academic education.
  • Degree Campus (Chattanchal, Kasaragod): Focused on advanced degree programs and higher research.
State-of-the-Art Facilities

To support a student body of over 250, guided by 27 faculty members and 14 non-teaching staff, the Academy provides:

  • Academic Resources: Digital Library and the specialized C.M. Abdulla Moulavi Library. * Technology & Media: Fully equipped computer labs, recording studios, and an Audio-Visual Lab.
  • Spiritual & Physical Well-being: Campus Masjids and dedicated playgrounds for holistic development.

The Degree Department specializes in Civilizational Studies. The curriculum is rigorously designed to integrate Islamic jurisprudence and theology with contemporary academic relevance, ensuring graduates are well-equipped for modern intellectual challenges.

Community Engagement and Publications

The Academy fosters a vibrant ecosystem of leadership, alumni relations, and intellectual discourse through various wings: *

  • Alumni Network: The Islamic Movement of Alumni of Darul Irshad (IMAD) consists of over 180 members driving significant community impact. 
  • Students’ Union: The Darul Irshad Students’ Association (DISA) facilitates leadership development and extracurricular activities.
Intellectual Contributions
  • Al Irshad Magazine: A monthly Malayalam publication exploring current affairs and contemporary thought. 
  • DISA Book Cell (DBC): An active publishing wing that has released seven books covering diverse thematic areas.
