MIC Darul Irshad Academy: Integrating Tradition and Modernity MIC Darul Irshad Academy (MICDIA) is a premier center for value-based Islamic education located in Kasaragod. By synthesizing spiritual wisdom with contemporary academic disciplines, the Academy nurtures scholars capable of revitalizing the dynamic traditions of the Muslim community for the modern era. MICDIA is one of the 14 prestigious institutions operating under the Malabar Islamic Complex (MIC), which is managed by the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama Kasaragod District Committee.

The Academy operates a dual-campus system designed to provide specialized environments for different levels of study:

Secondary Campus (Udma, Kasaragod): Dedicated to foundational Islamic and academic education.
Degree Campus (Chattanchal, Kasaragod): Focused on advanced degree programs and higher research.

DarulIrshad students' association (DISA) is an official students' union for MICDIA students established in 2003. It is dedicated to create opportunities for students to get engaged in resourceful extracurricular activities.Over the years it has developed a successful modus operandi which was entitled as IGNITE YOUR SPARKS. As part of it several motivation classes, career counseling, seminars, seasonal art fests were conducted. Al Irshad magazine was a successful venture which prospered creative writings of students.It gives priority for social and educational involvement of students through variety of programs in and out of the campus.

Activities:

1. CM Usthad Memorial Lecture and Seminar

This is a grand program conducted once in two years in commemoration of late Sheikhuna CM Usthad. The seminar will be studded with mainstream personalities from social, political and educational sectors.Paper presentations and intellectual discussions on relevant topics are the main attractions of this seminar.

2. Al Irshad Magazine

Al Irshad magazine is the main artistic outing of DISA which has earned a lot of applause from intellects and public alike. Apart from students public writers also utilize this magazine to vent their views on relevant topics. It has amassed a huge amount of subscription which helps in its paramount circulation in and out of Kasaragod district.

3. DBC

DISA book cell is an added feather to DISA which was devoted for publications. Till date it was fortunate to publish QaseedathulBurda Malayalam Translation, astronomical studies of CM Usthad which were penned by CM Usthad and Kasaragod Muslim history which was authored by Moin Malayamma Hudawi. Several projects are in pipeline which will see the light in near future.
