Darussalam Islamic Academy, a graduate institute affiliated to Darul Huda Islamic University Kerala, is a prestigious centre of Islamic higher learning founded upon the philosophy of imparting Islamic education combined with modern curriculum and moral upbringing. It integrates both Islamic and contemporary education.  This institution is run by the prestigious visionary team of Darussalam Orphanage Committee. It is situated in the serene atmosphere of Thalassery at Kannur of Kerala. This education centre was established in 10th October 2012 and still managed by a visionary body of committee members.

Currently the institution offers three programs: Secondary (5 years), Senior Secondary (2 years).

DSIA library has lots of collections of books and references in all sections. With modern facilities digitalization (Dewey decimal classification system) along with KOHA Integrated Library software, the library is a great hallmark of the institution. The library has been functioning as an invaluable resource hub for students, teachers and outside members. It has nearly 3000 collections of books and journals along with periodicals in different languages. It has a well set up IT Lab and Auditorium with smart room facility envisaged to conduct virtual classes and showcase important programmes occasionally.

After the successful completion of the whole ten years, students would be promoted for Post Graduate (PG) study in different areas of Islamic theology at Darul Huda Islamic University where they would be eligible to pursue two years long specialized research study in any of the following disciplines: Quran and Related Studies, Hadith and Related Sciences, Fiqh and its Fundamentals, Aqeeda and Philosophy, Da'wa and Comparative Religion, and Language etc.
