Darul Banath Academy is the first women’s affiliated institution of Darul Huda Islamic University in Ernakulam district, which initiated contemporary transformations in the religious, social, and cultural spheres. Established on 08 July 2021 as a memorial to the late P. T. Abubacker Maulavi, the institution is now completing five years of its dedicated service. At present, around two hundred female students are pursuing their studies as residential scholars.

As part of women’s educational empowerment, Darul Banath Academy offers the “Sahrawiyya” integrated course, which harmoniously combines traditional Islamic education with modern academic systems. Every year, a new batch of forty students is admitted. Through a special entrance examination, selected students are guided through an eight-year program with the objective of equipping them for social service and community reform.

Along with religious studies, the curriculum includes secondary and senior secondary education, proficiency in Arabic, Urdu, English, Hindi, and Malayalam, and a government-recognized university degree. To meet the academic and training needs of the students, the institution actively provides a well-equipped library, computer laboratory, science laboratory, and classes for public speaking and writing skills.

It is a matter of pride that the students of this mission-driven institution consistently demonstrate outstanding performance in Islamic, intellectual, artistic, and cultural fields, and actively engage in the propagation of Islamic teachings through local mahal (community) collaborations.
