About College

DHIU Assam Campus, situates at Baisha-Barmara in Barpeta District of Assam, was established on 24 March 2013. The institution which serves as the first off campus of DHIU Kerala in North East India, mainly aims at the societal development through devoted activities to revive the socio-cultural domains.

Campus lies in about 10 acres land including Academic Block, attached Hostel Building, Jamia Masjid, Hadia Barpeta Regional Office and Darul Huda Model School which successfully completed 4 academic years and functions a preschool namely Alif Preschool. DHIU and its following institutions are receiving hopeful responses and supports from local people. The institution moulds its students to be the creative leaders of the community and to renovate the cultural heritage in Assam. It institution is near to Barpeta Road Railway station (43 km) and is easily reachable from Guwahati Airport (80 km), the gateway to the Northeastern states.

300 Students Union and Activities

Students’ integration for development of resources and abilities (SIDRA) is the students’ union to coordinate students’ activities to boost and improve their skills and abilities. SIDRA leads creative and constructive programmes among students and extends its’ activities to the public. The union was formed in 2015. SIDRA facilities for the platform of student to enrich their talents and versatile abilities. It engages students in cultural and literary programs to enhance their potentials.

Award programs:

As SIDRA mainly aims at enhancing the students’ abilities, it gives awards for the talents with different abilities through systematic analysis and valuation. The awards are given in 9 sectors including language experts, best orator and singer, maths and science genius and for the best social engineer.

Students’ of the month:

SIDRA evaluates the performance of the students both in curricular and non-curricular activities and rewards for the best performing student every month.

Seminars and workshops:

SIDRA has already conducted two academic seminars successfully on Prophet Muhammed (s) and Northeast Muslim Cultural Heritage. Workshops are being conducted on writing skills and language debates.
