Students who have completed UG course from DHIU campus, NICS or Affiliated colleges are eligible for admission to the PG program. The selected students can choose any area of specialization offered by various post graduate departments of the University, namely, Department of Qur'anic Studies, Department of Hadith and Related Sciences, Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, Department of Islamic Economics and Finance , Department of Aqeeda and Philosophy, Department of Comparative Religion, Department of Civilizational Studies, Department of Societal Development , Department of Arabic Language and Literature and Department of Translation and Comparative Literature.
DHIU keeps its unique attitude towards the education in its PG program also. PG is not restricted to the topics of specialization but is a combination of elective papers (subjects of specialization) offered by the relevant departments, General paper (including textual and analytical reading of the canonical texts, etc), teacher training workshops, orientation camps, compulsory community services and 80(Arabic) or 60(English) page dissertation in the specializing area. In addition to this, the student will complete a Bachelors Degree from a public university in social sciences and humanities.
