The Secondary program offers a well-planned and scientifically designed five year course which is the basic and primary arena in the 12 year academic program of DHIU. Highly intelligent and brilliant students aged between 10-11.5 are admitted to the Secondary level following rigorous written and oral admission tests.
DHIU designed this program to give students the necessary basis of knowledge of language, and Islamic and Contemporary disciplines that enables students tread quietly and cautiously the path ahead of academic program. Secondary also provide an educational environment within which students acquire skill necessary for the realization of their potential. Syllabus consists of books that give primary lessons of four languages, namely, Arabic, English, Urdu and Malayalam and other disciplines that belong to both from religious and contemporary.
The aim of this program is to provide students more comprehensive and qualified studies in modern and religious knowledge and equip them with advanced acquaintance, competence and fluency in four languages, namely, Arabic, English, Urdu and Malayalam.
The 2 year program proposes a syllabus that contains all relevant Islamic and modern subjects like the Qur’an, Hadith, exegesis of the Qur’an, Tasawwuf, polemics, Islamic history, rhetoric and prosody, Arabic literature, translation and composition, Mathematics, Science and technology and advanced study in four languages, namely, Arabic, English, Urdu and Malayalam.
