Thelitcham Monthly is the Islamic- Cultural magazine in the Malayalam language monthly published from the university. The Magazine was launched on October 1998 as a literary contribution of the students at the University. It aims at enriching the students’ potential along with communicating with the intellectual world. The hand written works of the students of the period led to publishing the printed version.
The editorial board holds the helm of making policies and for each month the body meets to decide the cover issues. Beyond the monthly issues the magazine has published special issues like the travels of Mappilas in its Fifteenth year of publishing. Dr. Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadwi heads the board as he is the Chief Editor since 1998.
For the smooth functioning, there is a managing committee which changes yearly with General Manager as its head and Public Relations Officer as its office in charge. The body consists of five wings including the Finance, the Circulation, the Marketing, the Advertisment and the Technical. In each wing there is at least one manager and two assistant managers.
Besides research articles on Islam and Muslims, Thelitcham analyzes the burning current issues from an Islamic perspective. Most of the readers are educated Muslim youth.
It deserves a special mention that all of these posts are independently and effectively handled by the students who conduct their studies in the university.
